Qualification and payment requirements
To hire a vehicle through Rolo all drivers must be 21 years of age or older, have an open current driver’s licence and own a credit card.
Drivers 21 – 24 years will incur an age surcharge that varies based on vehicle class. Some vehicles classes are not available to drivers aged 21 - 24 years old. Please contact our reservations centres for details of available vehicles and age surcharge daily charges.
Your credit card should have the full payment amount plus a pre authorisation bond of $250 for car, van or ute rental, and $350 for 12 & 25 seat bus and truck rental at the time of vehicle collection. The preauthorised bond will be returned by your financial institution so long as no further charges apply after 5-6 working days.
On collection of your Rolo vehicle, the person who pays for the rental and provides the credit card for the pre-authorisation bond will be listed on the contract as the primary hirer. If another person is going to drive they will be listed on the contract as the secondary driver.
Rolo accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex and Diners’ Club cards.
Payments by a Amex or Diners card will incur a 3.85% surcharge.
